Vanessa Rosenbaum
Skokie Public Library
Graphic Designer
After graduating from the American Academy of Art in Chicago, Vanessa cut her teeth in advertising at Leo Burnett. After a slow burn-out, Vanessa hit the road and began freelancing, designing mostly for small non-profits. Vanessa returned to school, graduating from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and worked for several years at an arts-based community development organization. Eventually, Vanessa returned to freelancing, where she shifted her focus to small- and medium-sized business branding and identity work. Though the work was exciting, Vanessa's desire to really design and build a brand for the long haul led her to sign on as Graphic Designer at the Skokie Public Library, a newly-created position. Having been at the Library for a brief time, Vanessa is thrilled and excited to be guiding the brand as it looks to define itself. Also, Vanessa has a whole lotta energy and someday would like to build a house with her own two hands.
